Did you know that The Field Museum in Chicago has over 10,000 Filipino artifacts? You can't see these because only a few of these are actually on display. The rest of these ancient artifacts are stored beneath the vaults of the museum. As a previous member of the Digital Co-curation Team at the Field Museum, I along with other volunteers, worked to photograph and digitize 80 percent of the Philippine's collection. We hosted and curated monthly events at the museum called Pamanang Pinoy, to engage and educate the Filipino and Chicago communities about our project, and to gain insight from them as well.
